On Tuesday, 8 April 2025, Avonhead Community Trust, in conjunction with Kingdom Resources, held a Cook n Save class, aimed at Seniors.
It was an opportunity to share ideas on how to make your money stretch further in the kitchen. Helpful tips were discovered, learned from cooking together and enjoyed shared kai at the end of the class.
Topics that were discussed were:
- making your money go further
- menu planning
- simple recipe ideas
- ‘substitute’ ingredients
- seasonal cooking
